Ok, i've been lurking around since i got my new 08 Sonata limited in May. About the only problem I've had with the car is the rear deck rattle & buzz from the sub.

After searching and checking around online, seemed like a common enough problem & thought my only real solution was to take it apart and install some sound deading.

Anywho, I took my ride in to the dealer for an unrelated issue, mentioned it to the service manager and he said they'd take a look.

He said they were going to ORDER A WHOLE NEW PARCEL ASSEMBLY and REBUILD & DEADEN THE DECK!!?!! :w00t:

Anyone have any luck with this approach? I was expecting them to blow it off, and had already made an appointment to get it done @ the local custom shop.

I'll provide an update when they get the parts in sometime in the next 2 weeks; providing no one yells at me for starting a new thread. . .

You don't need to start a new thread to update, just post in this one so that people can follow along.

That is great that the dealer responded to your problem like that, most dealers would stuff some foam under there and call it done.
