Hi guys, I'm from South Africa and drive a terracan 2.9 crdi. I have never had a days trouble with it until a few months ago when I had a filter change. If the fuel was between empty & quater tank she would simply cut out whether travelling on the freeway or standing & idling at an intersection. When I filled her up I could drive with peace of mind that she would not cut out for a long while. The other day Iwas travelling on the freeway at +- 110 kmh and noticed a cloud of black smoke when I kicked down to speed up a bit. I found this strange as my terra never emmits black smoke under any load, the engine check light came on and she started sounding as though she was misfiring. On accelaration she spews out thick black smoke and then drives like nothing is wrong for a while until she goes into limp mode. what could the problem be ?
