Dont drive it in the winter. lol
I usually take a low pressure spray and hose down the bay...cover the electrical stuff with plastic bags so they dont get wet.
The valve cover and other black plastic parts can be wiped down with a lil armor all wipe.

I havent had mine long and she hasnt experienced a Michigan winter...yet

Just keep it clean, I drive in the winter but I clean the engine regularly.

You know my thoughts were to spray something on the aluiminum parts to keep them bright, I have to drive it during the winter so I don't have a chance to let it rest in a garage. However there must be some type of coating in a spray can that will help. I'll check it out and get back to u guys..... Thanks

I use S100 motorcycle cleaner on my cars engine compartments. It works very well and will not tarnish or corrode aluminum like simple green and other cleaners will. After I get it dried off, I then spray it down with CD2 engine detailer, it keeps it looking new.

Yeah, be careful. Some stuff you spray on it will react with the engine heat to form a "gunk" on the aluminum parts that attract dirt and grime, and is very hard to get of without lots of elbow grease and scrubbing.
