QUOTE(bobad @ Jul 2 2008, 03:40 PM) That's what I'm talking about. All that work and stripping to nothing just to get Sonata 1/4 mile numbers. :D Seriously, everyone bellyaches about poor mileage, but aren't willing to lose weight. If we were willing to give up our cool, quiet comfort, we can lose 1500lbs and gain 30% in mileage or a huge performance increase. Losing weight is so effective because you can reduce engine size, further reducing weight. I call it the "un snowballing" effect. :amen: Every year, they make better, more powerful, more efficient engines... then wrap them in heavier cars! I appreciate the safety benefits of air bags, reinforcements and and crumple zones... but I could live with more noise in my cabin and live without the heated/cooled/vibrating/massing/24-way power seats
