Hello. I just slapped some 18" rims on my '04 Sonata and there is quite a gap between the tires and the wheel well. Does anybody have any ideas on how to drop the ride about 1" - 1.5"? I am looking at some Eibach springs that should do the job. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You won't find Eibachs for your Generation of Sonata. (Trust me I have a 2004) For the lowering you are looking for, I guess your "budget" option would be Intrax. KSPEC has some lowering springs too and even coilovers but too much $$.
If you go with Intrax lowering springs, consider replacing the struts with a robust / sports after market ones. The OEM struts will go away in the first x000's miles.

Sounds like the intrax are going to be more than an inch if you're that worried about them blowing struts. He may not want to "slam" the ride though I don't know if that's the case with these springs or not.
