Somebody stole my faceplate and remote. Hyundai said I have to buy a whole new stereo!!!!All I need is the faceplate. The stereo is $500. Any ideas?THanks

Yup, I have a suggestion... aftermarket. A much nicer stereo than the Hyundai/Kenwood unit can be had for much less than $500. All that unit is is a rebadged low to mid-level Kenwood unit anyway, and an old one at that.

I'll be willing to say that getting a replacement faceplate and remote would cost you more than buying a whole new aftermarket unit anyway, and waaaay more trouble on top of that. I don't even know the process for obtaining a replacement faceplate. I would have to research it and find out.

Or, if you don't want to go aftermarket you could go to newtiburon.com in the for sale section. People who go aftermarket often sell their old stock units.

But yeah, aftermarket you will likely get a better unit for less cost, and they're not hard to install
