As of today, Hyundai has a new sales incentive program....the rebate on the '09's has gone from $1500 to $2000. I hate it when that happens! More negotiating room my friends.

Forget about rebates. We need to know about these $3000 in Taxes that the U.S.

and your local State charges the Dealer, as you, or I should say your 'Friend'

reported Yesterday. This is news that you will read nowhere else, and although

'YJBEACH' hates reading threads where absolutly no information is being

passed on, I thrive on it.

this is one of those moving targets; what you may get last week could be more or less this week - but you should go look at deals; the best place to see what others are paying is to go to the edmunds forums and go to the sonata site and read prices paid and buying experiences; this is what i did and i used some new jersey dealers' deals to offer a price for a car in nebraska - i got close but had to give in a little due to the volume here versus the east coast;

my car is a limited with nav and some mats for the inside and trunk; the sticker was about 27,800 and i ended up payiny 23,000 - nearly 5000 below sticker; you might be able to do better than this but it depends on where you are; i also had no trade so they did not make any money on that end. just do some common research and see what others are paying currently and that web site is up to date. this is a good forum to discuss your car and that is for determining prices around the country; good luck

Victor:

Thanks and congrats on the deal. I too have pulled ads from other dealers that are outside my local area.

I also found a great article on www.autoobserver.com that outlines from February record incentives that are being offered by Hyundai on the Sonatas. On average, the Total cost of Incentives to the dealer is $4218.

Don't let the dealer tell you sales are great. In fact, they stink. Late last year, they shut down the plant in Alabama where they make the Sonata for 10 days due to sluggish sales. They also had to cut production since they were falling way short of quotas.

I also think that Hyundai raising the rbate overnight from $1500 to $2000 speaks volumes.
