Has any one swapped a power drivers seat for a manual one? My wife is not happy with me because I said the power seat was not worth the extra cost. So now I am looking to swap it out for her. The ride is an '07 Sonata 3.3 , power windows locks, and sunroof.

Leave it alone, if you mess with the seat you might void your warranty. You could accidently mess with the track position sensor.

That is Insane. :w00t: Have you thought of swapping Wives instead? :whistling:

I would never drive another Sonata with a manual Seat. That $850 was the best

Seat I never paid for. Unbelievable. Does she know what it is worth now? $250

hahaha you can never make them happy

I think I'd personally rather have a manual seat. Its a lot quicker to move front and back than a power seat when you're searching for loose change that fell under the seat :w00t:

I kind of don't see the point with a power recline... I mean, all ya have to do is lift a lever and it's 100x faster than the power adjustment... :whistling:

I am not sure I am following this, but dude as you know, the Power Chair is

Eight(8) Way adjustable. Lumbar might be 9. :460:

The Pump seat does not perform like that. And one of the

main reasons I wanted out of the 2005 Elantra was the manual 2 Knob

Seat, and the noisy terrible 2.0 4 cyl motor. Oh and that it was an Elantra :w00t:

haha sorry to disappoint you guys.
i just swapped my 07 manual seats to 08 BLACK Leather power and heated seats.
yes front and back.
the leather seats smell great and feels like heaven, and all the functions, such as airbags, seat position sensors, passenger seat sensors, and so on are working perfectly without any problem.

$750 USD for the entire front, rear seat assemblies, and black colored center console with sliding arm rest.
Those black leather seats already have seat warmers built in, so i can just simply buy the switch and hook it up since i have all the wiring diagrams.

Are you asleep this morning ddix? He said he bought both front AND rear seats, along with the center armrest. Not sure about the door panels, though. That might still look a bit weird, but easy to remedy.

Nate, did you have to do any additional wiring for the 8-way power function to work, or was the wiring already there? Sorry, it's a little unclear. Maybe I'm asleep this morning too.

Are both Front seats now powered. This is possible by placing an overseas order.

I notice the original poster has Power Window Locks :whistling:

I am curious about this too. I would drop 300 for the one front power seat in a heart beat but I am not paying 850 for one seat. As far as warranty goes I would have the stealer do it. I am not touching that car. :whistling:

Just curious... were all the connections for the power seat there? i.e. motor wiring, heated seat wiring, etc? Did you have to make any kind of modification?
