Hey Hugo good to see you. Just took an extended look at the 09 Sonata

and now there is a brand new one for 2010. Wow I am glad I didn't buy the 09.

Of course the 09 had nothing I would want, aside from Black Leather. My 06

does not even have 15K on the odo, and is doing better than ever. Hey how did

you get $25K CDN for the used Canadian Sonata? I would be lucky to get half that.

What is the going rate for Gas in Saudi Arabia. Are you guys able to help us out?

If Oil keeps on rising as it did today, no one will be driving the 2011 Sonata!

Hey Miami good to see you too :) Ya the new 2009 Sonata's are at the dealership right now, over here sonatas are very popular except for some reason many of them are 4 cylinders. I just bought an 08 V6 GLX 5A/T (SE V6 im thinking in US) myself for very very cheap! Its not top of the line, It is used but it only had 2300 km on it, I picked it up for 33,000 Riyals. I think thats about $9000 USD
It has beige exterior/ interior, Leather seats, Xenon Lights, Window Visors, Spoiler, 17" Rims, Basic AC, Premium Sound, chrome grille no ESC for some reason :(, Garnish, and the previous owner riced it out with aftermarket stickers lol Post pics soon

And gas is very cheap here miami, I think its only North America which is having problems. I usually pay about $15-$20 for full tank getting 95 octane gas always ( I know it doesnt help but its so cheap :P You should seriously come here.

And for the 25k for my sonata, before selling it I washed it nicely. Told the buyer that it was a limited edition model (247 HP!!) And also it was fully loaded with all options in Canada, and had about 10,000 km when I sold it.

That better not be the new Sonata, it certainly does look like a Maxima in almost every way.

You stole that car for $9,000! Sounds like it has a lot of nice features. Ofcourse the stickers ruin the car.

ya it does look alot like the maxima, I keep hearing rumours that the next Sonata will be smaller then the current one because they have to keep Azera and Genesis in the lineup aswell.

For $9000 I guess it was a good steal but to tell you the truth, cars are very cheap over here. And your right the stickers really ruin the car, on the sides it has a whole load of them saying NOS, Greddy, Alpine, Injen, Need For speed and more! Gives the car a cheap ricer feeling.

You may be able to get them off without damaging then paint. Are there a lot?

Found an 09 Max on ebay and it looks very similar to the "Sonata". I have a feeling it's the maxima, look at the taillights and the wheels.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BRAND-NEW-NEWLY-DESIGNED-2009- MAXIMA_W0QQitemZ330247887164QQihZ014QQcategoryZ6400QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZ

Yep, definitely the Maxima.

QUOTE
Though the chassis and sheetmetal are new, performance will come from the standard 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve VQ-series V-6 engine that powered the previous-generation Maxima and nearly everything else in the Nissan fleet. This revised engine is now rated at 290 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 35 horsepower and nine lb-ft of torque over the 2008 Maxima engine.

At least they got their flagship up to par with the Altima power-wise.

It now costs me over $60 to fill my tank with 87. Haha I remember the days I could fill up for 15-20, but that was years ago.

Sounds like you got a great deal on that sonata.

When I looked at that picture earlier I definitely thougt it was a Maxima, but I was at work so I couldn't look too closely :whistling:

Here in Fresno the average is $4.599/gal (87), so it costs about $81-82 for a complete fill up here.

I bet by 2011 Hyundai will spin off a luxury car group like Honda (Acura), Toyota (Lexus), and Nissan (Infiniti). The only reason why Hyundai did not develop a US luxury group for the Genesis is because (1) cost too much money for only two cars (2) wanted to wait and see how many cars will be sold. However, I read that the VP's at Hyundai are really considering a luxury spin, like Toyota and Honda in the early 80's, because they feel the pressure from other car companies. Once that occurs, the day of the cheap quality Hyundai's will be over. I just wish Hyundai HQ increase the car quality if they want to compete with the others. When I went by SOCAL Hyundai HQ and saw the cars in the parking lot and display I notice that the Korean Gensesis looked so classy, inside and out, but when I saw the US version you can really see the difference in quality. Eventhough, the cost is much different between the two countries. I read that the top of the line Hyundai in Korea costs about 80K US. Even the coupes look different (I saw the Korean version at the LA Car show).

You must be pretty young Alex. I remember $7.00 for a fill. Less if you found a "gas war" and could fill a 20 gallon tank for $5.00 or less. Heck 2 bucks got me back and forth to school for awhile. Ahhhhh those were the days. :blownose: You could buy a bag :cigareta: for $10. V-8's and we didn't even THINK about the Canadians. :w00t: Now they are our friends.  BTW we are having a BIG sale to take your guys loonies. Help a brother out. :grouphug:

Saudi Food is like Canadian food? Cool, I'm there!

And I can't worry about the Heat. Needles California is the hottest place on Earth, sometimes!.

Thanks for the invite! Would my Blue Cross/Blue Shield still work there?

All I know is the next time they update the Sonata, I'm DEFINITELY going to wait one year, and buy that model. No more guinea-piggy test-dummy for me! I will also buy the new 3-cylinder model, just to get better mileage than Mama and Craig....

Very carefully use a heat gun. Don't hold it to the paint for too long or the clear coat will melt.

I saw a new Maxima on the road today, definitely an improvment over the 04-08 Max's. I liked them as well. The 3.5 that Nissan uses is very torquey.

haha well I am 25, but I do remember the days $10 would fill the tank, or $5 would top off a half empty tank. I think the cheapest gas I remember since driving was $.78/gallon when a wawa and sheetz went in at the same area and had some nice price wars. I don't know how I could afford to drive today if I was a teenager.
