Dear crick,
Accidentally got two CD's loaded in the wife's Santa Fe, but this method still works.
You will need some long nose needle nose pliers, and a thin crochet hook. Since the tape adapter is stuck, you will need to feed the crochet hook with the hook turned left or right in front of and under the lip of the tape adapter. Once under the front lip, rotate the hook under the adapter so that it catches under the tape adapter. Lift the front edge high enough to grab with the pliers. Grasp the adapter with the long nose needle nose pliers. Use the pliers jaw as a lever to lift the entire adapter up and off the spindles. Slowly pull out the front.
This set should work.
