Yeah, setting up a turbo setup these days isn't like the old days for sure. My turbo "street driven"
68 VW Bug for instance ... after driving it to the track I'd slap on the slicks, adjust the waste gate, rejet the carb, 2 1/2 turns on the AFM, and crack off mid-10s in the 1/4. Took all of 10 minutes. Reverse the process for the drive home. All out of a 2180cc VW flat 4 that put up with a lot of crap from me. The flat fours are notorious for making insane amounts of boosted power.
No idea what the dyno numbers were (or the weight) as dyno runs were for the wealthy back in the early 80s, I just know it was a hoot to build, race, and catch the unsuspecting Vette, Mustang, or Camaro on the street. :grin: Most bikes as well. Wow, do I miss those days.
