Have been looking for some nice mats to replace the factory ones that I just can't bear to get dirty they're so pretty. Looked everywhere for mats and was never happy what I saw hanging on the racks. I read Car and Driver and saw Weathertech had like high end floor mats that were custom. Went to their site and of course they didn't have anything custom for my dark cherry red beauty. UNTIL NOW. When I was on their site, I signed up for them to send me and email when they made the Floorliner product - and I recently got an email from them saying they are ready!

I ordered them and seriously, they are unreal out of this world awesome! I got the black ones becuase it looked like the tan was too dark for my interior. The Floorliner thing is totally custom and fits everywhere. The back is one piece and goes over the tranny hump. Totally sweet.

I also got the window vents too, they call them side window deflectors.

They have really good pictures on their website showing how everything fits.

Here is the link from the product announcement email they sent me.

im a bit confused.... Weathertech mats have been around forever for the NF Sonatas... (well, for sure they had All-Weather mats forever).

im guessing you are talking specifically about the Floorliners? they are nice, but OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive... ($160 for the fronts & backs?)

and i see you got the window vent visors.. do you like the lighter color? i actually wish that Weathertech would make the darker "smoke" color for our cars.....

of course, if you are posting all this stuff, you must take pictures and put them in your garage or post them here so we can see it.....

And what's even weird is that the Floorliners are not available for 2006 Sonatas. LOL!

I am looking for floormats?

Where did everyone else get their floormats and how much did they cost? Do you have pictures?

Did you get them from Hyundai? Autozone? Pep Boys? Wal-mart? Sams Club? Target?

Thanks

Correct, specifically speaking of the Floorliners. I totally agree they are expensive, but I looked at it from the standpoint of I'll never have to buy floor mats again. They have held up well so far, not curling or sliding around like the mats in my minivan. I think I've bought like 3 pairs for my van and they all stink. These are going to be great especially when it starts snowing here. The carpet it completely covered everywhere.

Yeah, they don't have the dark yet. I saw some dark smoke ones at Wal-Mart, I think Autoventshade make them? Anyway, those were stick on and I didn't want to do that...although I'd stick on a spolier... Also, they looked like REALLY dark. I was nervous it would be a blind spot. Anyway, Weathertech's go in the window channel with no tape. I'm still kinda leary that they are going to fly out when the window is down but so far so good.

Just got back from the airshow in the Quad Cities so the camera is filled up with pictures of the Blue Angels. Will get some pics up if this rookie poster can figure out how to do it.

Assuming you are talking All-Weather mats, not carpeted...

Weathertech makes ones that fit.. they are about $100 for the set

Hyundai OEM also makes them for about $80 or so...

I bought a set of Husky mats for about $30 or so from Amazon. they "almost" fit, but I had to do a tiny bit of cutting to make them fit.. i would rather cut a bit and save $40 or more... but that's me....

you could probably get them even cheaper from a Walmart or something, you just need to buy "large" ones (regular "car mats" are probably too small for the Sonata) and cut them down...

I've been waiting on Weathertech to come out with Floorliners for our car for quite some time now. Price will depend on what it's worth to you - I won't mind paying that considering I'm on my third set already (first one crept, second turned yellow and current one has tar stains all over it). I may be $10 short of the Floorliners' cost with my three sets.

Dang, one more thing to spend money... a lot of money, on.

Oh well, I've been looking for something just like this, especially after last winter, ugh... I still have to get around to steam cleaning my carpets :(

Looks like Visa is going to like me.

Hoo Rah, found a dealer in town, 5-7 days to get em in from their supplier, $120 Canadian for the fronts only.

I have Hyundai all weather floor mats, $58 for front set plus tax.

I have the light colored Weathertech vent visors (front/rear $116'ish). They are really nice, and I'm not worried about them blowing off the car (they are very secure). I found installation on the front windows difficult though. But I'll be honest, the OEM ones may look nicer and cost less than the Weathertech (in my opinion only).

I had Hyundai all weather mats on my Sonata and I have them on my Santa Fe now. As for weather deflectors, I get the AVS for my cars. I have put them on 5 cars and never had a problem. They have been on my mom's 03 Sonata for about 4 years and they are still in good shape. The sun does get to them, but I keep them waxed so they look pretty good.

WeatherTech makes about the best in the business as far as all-weather mats go. I had a set in my Mustang in Anchorage that I used for winter - they hold a LOT of fluid, mud, dirt, etc. I saw it get extremely cold and they always remained pliable, and they didn't slide around (even without a little peg to hold them in place). If you're serious about protecting your carpet they're worth the money.

I'm not understanding this logic. Tan was too dark, so you opted for black (as dark as one can possibly get)?

Either way, glad you're happy with the purchase.

We need more of the posters here to write Weathertech an email saying they want the dark tint available for front and back. Too many times I've had to re-tape the AVS ones on other vehicles (like my Sequoia due for its 3rd retape). On the Sequoia it mounts to flexible rubber moulding which obviously is no good. Next re-tape will probably change to Weathertechs just for the hassle.

Seriously write to Weathertech! The reason I only got the fronts so far is because of the light shade only being available. What I hate is that when you leave your window down for the air flow when parked, EVERYBODY can see it walking by. The light tint is that light. I even told them to try a "limited run" to see how they sell. What would it take to change the resin for 25-50 sets??? Mold is the exact same just a darker plastic to put in it not very difficult IMO and I've run plastic blow moulding machines so yeah, been there, done that. They didn't seem real up on the idea........

As soon as dark is available I'll get front and rear.

The mats look awesome.

I guess you could always get a can of NiteShades and give them a quick spray (on the inside) to darken them up as much as you'd like.

i have written to WT with a request for the darker vent shades... I like the in-channel thing, but dont want the lighter ones... kind of annoyed that they dont make them... that is one of the few mods that I could actually justify myself buying if they had them...
