Okay, so here's the story...
So, my car battery is dead and the keyless remote won't open the door. In order to get into my car I had to use the ignition key to unlock it, making the alarm go off. Since the car battery is dead, however, I can't get the alarm to deactivate. The only thing that keeps the alarm from making a constant chirping noise is keeping the key in the ignition on the "on" position. I'm afraid if I have to keep it like this until I can get a jump that the battery will be completely depleted.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to manually deactivate the alarm system.
Oh, and I have a 2005 Hyundai Elantra.
Any help is greatly apreciated.
