28 Yrs old.
And I disagree about the looks vs. camcortimas..
The Sonata reminds me a LOT of an Audi, or a Saab in its looks.. very clean, rounded corners, no harsh lines.
The new Accord doesnt know what it wants to be, the camry is a boat, and the Altima only looks good in Coupe form

I'm 28, bought the car when I was a fresh 26.

I think the sonata looks more like a young person's car.
I loaned my car to my mother for a week when her's was in the shop and she looked so out of place in it. In fact, her coworkers said she looked just like she was borrowing some young persons car.

I'm 17, from South Jersey, at first when I got my licence I drove aronud a 1990 Town Car, which I still have but it needs work, then my mom pretty much has 2 cars, a Grand Caravan and a Sonata, when my lincoln was undriveable few months back I just basically took over the Sonata and now it's my daily.

I pay 200 a month on it and my moms nice enough to pick up the rest. Love the car for its looks, and acceleration I can blow of lot of those rice burners out of the water with this thing!

I dont want to worry allot of the young pups...but I read the Sonata has a demographic just below that of Buick. No kidding...average age was like 52 or something!

Lets remember this is designed and marketed as a family grocery getter and replacement for larger minivans/SUVs to get folks back to cars.

I think I read that article in autmobilemag.

Then again you can do anything with statistics.. for example,

John Madden - " 90% of the game is half mental."

You are making your poor Mother sound like she is some ancient Senior Citizen.

How old is Mom? I hope she doesn't read your work here. :57:

I'm 25 (almost 26) and was 23 when I bought it. My parking lot where I work is filled with BMW's, Mercedes, Acura's and Audi's (I work for a large accounting firm). I had the first "new" Sonata, then another one turned up a few weeks later. One of out IT guys bought it after seeing mine (couldn't believe the amount of car he could get and it was between the 2006 Sonata or another Altima) A few more have sprung up since then, including one 2009. Ahhh its nice going out and seeing all these Sonata's. The owners are all in the their high 20's or low 30's. To be perfectly honest I love getting in putting down the windows and cruising around. I feel the car is a perfect mix between luxury and aggressive styling. Especially after I get my windows tinted and rims put on

I just turned 31 in the 3rd of this month. I got the sonata for a daily. I have other cars that, but i drive 43 miles one way to work 8 days a month, so i got it to save gas those days i have to drive to work. I aslo own a 2005 F250 super duty power stroke and a Harley Davidson. I have the Ford for my boat and my Harley so i can " look cool " .

I'm 43. I'm really surprised I don't see a much older group of people driving Sonatas, considering it's Florida. We must not be far enough south.

I had just turned 27 when I bought my '06 LX brand new, so I'm 29 now. I wouldn't view the Sonata as an "older people's car" but rather a smart car choice knowing you paid thousands less than that Camry or Accord owner :bwekk:

I had just turned 18 when I bought my sonata. I bought it and I'm the one paying for it. A year later now and I'm 19 and it looks a little different then what it started with!

She's old enough to be a young grandmother, but isn't yet.

And no, she is interweb unfriendly.
