Will a higher intensity hurt? ok, i have talk with one of the guys that came to my house for this DFW Meet and he put those 60 intensity SMD on his optima, w/o knowing there was a intensity to follow, i look his cluster and looks fine to me. nothing has happened to his car or the leds

I don't see Hyundai willing to give you a freebie if something gets messed up... :whistling:

QUOTE(LePapirrikY @ Jul 4 2008, 01:50 PM) you may void the warranty..but what the heck it's worth it....the green led its LAME!!!!!!!!!! Ditto! But yeah...its not like they would really know if youve been tinkerin with the cluster. Not CSI'ing them. lol Ive seen bad clusters just come in and they swap it out pretty fast.

Um, yes, there would be evidence that you've been in the dash and cluster, even if all they do is replace the cluster. And when the replaced part goes back to Hyundai for evaluation, THEY will most definately see that the cluster has been tampered with and charge the dealer back for the repair. I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just saying that it will void the warranty. Once the "new" wears off of my car, I may end up doing it as well.

QUOTE(Komptek @ Aug 25 2008, 03:35 AM) OK guys this was teh wrong post to get sticky. Rewrite the post with a good set of DIY instructions adn pictures than report it for stick. There is way too much crap talk in here to make it worth while. well i believe this is a very useful thread since you can find pictures, link to other related thread, link where to buy supplies, link to a video how it looks like and also that "too much crap", as you call it, its just members thoughts about it. It is a good thread. It's just not a good sticky. Too much trouble to separate the wheat from the chaff.
