I'm thinking of upgrading the rubber on the Fe... I know that at least a few of you have gone to 255 tire size - just wondering how you like them so far? Any issues (rubbing fenders, etc.) with that size tire on a Santa Fe? How did it affect your ride, handling, mpg?

I'm thinking of going with Yokohama Geolandar H/T-S, size 255/55R18, which I think should just fit on the stock rims and would be about the same diameter as the stock 235/60R18 tires. Anyone have any experience with that specific type of tire? I've had Yokohama's before and always liked them but never tried their Geolandar series.

Would I be better off buying a set of 8" rims to go with these tires instead of trying to mount them on the stock 7"?

Any feedback appreciated!!

I'm running 255/65-16 Kumho's on my '07. No problems at all.

Been very happy with the UHP's in 255 and I think they fill out the wheel wells better

I have put those Yokohama tires on my wifes Envoy XL and absolutely love them. They stick to the road like glue! I wanted to get them for my Fe too so I am glad you asked the question. By the way it will probably make your speedometer read accurately. Fred.

Are your aftermarket wheels the same size (width) as the stock wheels??

Your Fe looks great with those wheels/tires!!
