in my telescoping steering wheel. Every few days I have to reset it either by the switch on the column or by using the seat memory button. I have the "easy out" feature programed which means that it retracts out of the way when the engine is stopped. It is supposed to go back to the last position it was in before the engine was stopped and/or the position which is set in the seat memory feature when the engine is restarted. But just about every other day, it has to be readjusted manually because it doesn't remember the last position. Any thoughts on why this happens?

Obviously this isn't working within spec. In the Jags, the memory seats (which also included the steering wheel with easy-out feature) ALWAYS died off after a few years. The seat, mirror & steering wheel position was in the switch pack in the door. Repair simply involves replacing the switch pack. It may be worth making this complaint to the dealer to see if they'll go in for a new switch pack. Of course, they might not unless they can reproduce it... maybe making the complaint is enough?

Mine does this too every so often...Basically My steering wheel only extends about half way as oppsed to fully extended like I have set. It swings down into the right position and the seat is usually correct...just the s.w. extension. I have just gotten used to hitting the memory button each time I start up the car but it would be nice if I didn't have to do that.

And lately my door locks haven't been working right. I think I mentioned this in another post but when it gets hot here and the car is outside like when I'm at work (and it is currently 112 here) the drivers door lock fails to operate when I hit the button. Just one more thing gone wrong.

I pretty much have to just save up all of the problems I have with this car so I can bring it in once to fix 5 or 6 things instead of one at a time...otherwise I'd never get to drive the thing.
