gday all

new to the getz gig. just bought a 06 3 door with 52k/km's on it and it goes quite well. i was researching on the net and came upon this website which had a couple of blokes asking pretty much the same question i am about to...when putting after market driving lights on your vehicle, which wire(s) do u tap into on the headlight wiring harness, that doesnt make the lights turn on when the ignition is switched to acc or on until the headlights are turned on? i called hyundai themselves in nambour and he said thats a tricky one but he may not be able to help me  any help would be appreciated. oh, dont really have the money to pay an auto eleccy so thats out. (part of the reason for getting a car that uses bugger all fuel)

Thanks

Leayton

the factory setup is fairly elaborate in terms of the wiring and switches. if you're not going to use the factory switch or lights, I would run separate wiring for everything. ie the source for the lights, to battery to fuse to relay, and from relay to fuse to switch on/under the dash. you could easily overload the OE wiring loom if the spotties are powerful and burn it out, loosing whatever it was you had spliced into as well.
