I just took my first long trip from Barrie Ontario to Michigan for the Nascar race last weekend, almost exactly 500 km one way. On the way home I averaged 8.4 liters/100km or 28 mpg (US) or 33 mpg (Imperial).
I thought this was pretty good considering its rated a 9 liters/100 km on the highway.

I got the same 33 MPG (imperial) on a 3000 km trip ( 5 fill-ups) from Calgary to Vancouver Island. That includes some bumber to bumper city driving but mostly highway. I'm quite satified with that performance.

I live in AZ and drive 80% highway and 20% city.
I average about 21-22 MPG on every tank so far this is driving between 70-75 MPH and sometimes a bit faster.
I started slowing down about 4 weeks ago. I have been averaging 26.7 - 27.4 MPG per tank and have been able to consistanly hit 400 or over 400 miles per tank driving at no faster than 65MPH now.

Just got back from a 4-state jaunt through Oregon, Nevada, Utah, and Idaho and got an average of 24.3 mpg (US gallons). My best tank was through the Salt Flat Desert of Utah where I got 25.7. I set the cruise control at an indicated 75 mph but I know the speedometer error puts my actual speed around 72 or 73. I reduced my speed to 70 as a test and my mileage dropped. Back up to 75 I did better.

My driving was quite varied but was probably 40% 120kph(75mph), 50% 90-100kph(55-60mph) and the rest in urban or city. Mostly through the Rockies with lots of mountain ups & downs. Not aggressive driving and little air conditioning.
That yielded a bit better than 33mph imperial (27 US).
