It is only sold it some countries. I know Canada sells/sold it. But, I know there is another country. I forgot. And they are not turbo. Just better suspension and a lip kit stock.

ohhhhh well they should come out with a turbo accent i think...or supercharged turbo seems more the fit for a small motor but hey idk lol

I was thinking about this while I was on the pot yesterday. I think Hyundai could really cut into the ricer market if they made a sport tuned version of the accent. They could go all out and add a 2.0 turbo; If it fits in the bay. If it doesn't, bring back the 1.8. Stiffer suspension, lower profile, bigger tires could complete the look. Like a beefier SR. Although, since they won't even give us the Diesel's, I doubt they will give us power.

haha supercharged turbo would be awesome, i saw an article that VW was gonna attempt it or something. the article said that the 1.6 litre engine would put out 194 hp (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) that would be awesome in our car

That would mean our cars would have less than 13 pounds per HP. By comp, the Focus is 18Lbs/hp and the STI is 10.5lbs/hp and the Exige is 8lbs/hp. Pretty awesome.

Thought I would add my '08 Accent GS to the bunch.

New 15" wheels and new tires, tires are almost to big but had bought them for my other car but never used and didn't want to deal with trying to resell them, so threw them on the little one.

So far new setup works good, only scrapes the rear mud guards on rare occasion, will see if the car can handle the over sized tires over the coming year.

Fresh snow, lousy cloud cover, and bad photo skills you end up with....

Feels like I should do something with the wheel color but don't know what. No other mods planned, all my money goes to my other project.

Ciao

Yea TRMotorsport C1, from tire rack. Fairly cheap and only 12.8lbs didn't check reviews or anything though.

edit: Had to look up correct wheel type and edit it in.

Sorry, had to add a couple more pics of a bit of "off-road" fun. Not a road but grass pipeline right-of-way. To bad I can't get any pictures on the go.

Little bit different when compared to most of the nicely lowered accents on the forum.

(IMG:http://i701.photobucket.com/albums/ww20/MattMann/PB130161.jpg)

(IMG:http://i701.photobucket.com/albums/ww20/MattMann/PB130158.jpg)

6" of snow, no problem (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) Decided to check and I have 8" of ground clearance in the front with the new tires.

And no I'm not driving like an idiot, it's part of my job to inspect the path. We'll I might be driving like an idiot, it's all a matter of opinion.

And done with another hard work day (IMG:style_emoticons/default/innocent.gif)

It's very yellow.
Clean too! You should look into the blacking out the headlights mod, I think it'll be pretty sweet on the yellow.

i had actually given this some thought as well if i could get my hands on a a 2.0T Genesis motor and see if it would pair up to the Accent 5speed and then re - tune with a bigger crank pulley stiffer clutch bigger injectors and countless other tweaks and we could have one bad a** Accent....def take some wrench time but it almost seems worth it lol
