what is better for the price, the SE or the GS. is it really worth that much more money for the power options? I can either get a GS for 10,775 or a 2007 SE for 13,500. whats better?

QUOTE(CRzepecki @ Jun 18 2008, 04:04 PM) Well do you like power windows, door locks, and moonroof's? Or do you like having to do everything manual?? The GS weighs less anyways without all that electrical BS on it. Get the cheaper non-power GS. It will be more dependable since it will be less complex & not have options which tend NOT to be as reliable as the basic aspects of a car. Less weight will give a bit better MPG too. KISS. There is a Hyundai dealer in my area selling GS's for $9000. Get lifetime oil changes too. Get the copper color...its boootifullll. This post has been edited by litesong: Jun 18 2008, 07:47 PM

The GS im looking at has radio and A/C. im having a hard time finding the SE's and if i do they are like 3-4k more than the GS.... and part of me does not feel that is worth it just to have power options... but i just dont know.

QUOTE(Tango2Go @ Jun 18 2008, 08:32 PM) I love my 07 Tango Red GS (34 mpg's) but would like to have the power package. They have a Copper color now??? i think he means the Tango Red (what i have too) it changes color, sometimes its red, sometimes its burnt orange, sometimes... its copper colored lol.. LOVE IT my choice was the gs with nothin but a radio(6 speaker) and A/C.. the day i cant roll a window down manually or unlock a door with a key is the day i stop driving lol... i have always had these things on my previous cars and i dont miss it at all.... the ONLY thing i would like to have off the SE is the 16 inch alloys, but u can swing that later for the price difference, IMO. I paid 10,2000 i think for mine, and i have never been happier with a new car purchase...my other cars had more "bling", but they cost a fortune in purchase cost AND in gas usage AND in insurance costs, so I guess its what u want, bling or transportation.. and as unfated pointed out, u CAN make whatever mods to the GS u want, but IMO theres NO reason to do it up front...amazing how easy it is to roll a window down manually lol.

I know...dump the options. On other forums I've heard several complaints about power windows & doors...never any complaints about manual doors & windows. Also, at sale time, options give minimal resale value....because people know older optional equipment is prone to malfunctioning. Tho my left arm is sometimes prone to dislocate, I still want manual windows & manual doors. Don't need no stinking....doo dads(badges).

QUOTE(Torbo1 @ Jun 18 2008, 06:05 PM) HD stereo is a good aftermarket option to look into... read through some more of the forum posts to see what everyone has done.. Yes, read the thread '08 Accent base model stereo question'. Very important. Do not get any radio without HD radio if you have HD radio stations in your area. You will regret it if you don't.
