Has anyone else had an issue with their HF decal becoming discolored? I've only had mine on the car for a few months and it recently turned brown. I first noticed about three weeks ago that it had a pinkish tint to it. Then within a week it turned brown.

It looks like it's really dirty, but Mep gets a bath about once a week, so I doubt it's dirt buildup.

I tried to get a few pictures, but the camera still sees the decal as white. I tried it with a sheet of white paper next to the decal, but the reflection off the paper made the camera wash out.

I'm gonna try to clean it, maybe with Windex. Any suggestions?

That's odd. Mines been on since they came out and still looks like new. ????

I bet you washed the white off.

The Sticker is fully guaranteed against Material Defects.

You must return the old one though and pay additional S & H.

I have one of the beta decals and it still looks good as new. Even after parking in the FL sun for 9 hours a day at work - I figured that would have been the death of it in no time, but it's still going strong. I think mine has been on nearly a year now.

Where did you put it ? I know it's a stupid question but I have to ask - you did peel off the top clear plastic layer, right ?

TOP CLEAR PLASTIC LAYER.?!?!?!? WTH

Robbie,
I bought two....you need one, PM me with an address. I'll send it free of charge.

I'll bet the early ones were made in Korea...hence the ability to stand up to the elements. Cross ocean shipping and all. :amen: Later ones, like yours were probably made in Alabama.

I put the decal (the larger one) across the top of the rear window, centered in the black strip (about two inches from the top of the glass).

And YES, I did remove the clear plastic. I'm not THAT developmentally challenged!

I still haven't gotten out there to clean it yet, but I'll give it a shot tomorrow and let you all know how that comes out. If not, I may take Craig up on his offer.

I wasn't even going to mention the outer plastic but ... last time my dad was here I looked at the decal on the back of their Tucson that I sent them. Yeah, the plastic was still on there. Dad was never into those modular three layer decals I guess.

My decal is partialy brown too.... I was adamant not to put it outside my rear window, so I adhered it to a piece of clear tape and I attached it from the inside....

Yesterday I noticed some of the letters, mostly in the middle, are brown and unreadable from afar.

Well, the decal will have to go, I guess. Sun rays must have killed it.

But it's OK, by now this place is popular enough....

Robbie,
Did you put yours on the INSIDE or OUTSIDE? Conspicuously theory here? Hmmm

I've read these were made for the weather. Maybe that's the cause.

Nope, mine's on the outside.

BTW, it cleaned up. I guess it was just some dirt that was stubborn and not coming off with a car wash. Then it rained and Voila! New decal again. Maybe it was ACID RAIN! LOL.

Well thank God - I thought I was gonna be in the middle of a massive decal recall or lawsuit. :)
