WOW~!  Your site link goes right to a $28.99 part at Checker Auto Parts.  Guess sale ended early & changed stores! :whistling:  :whistling:

I see the same Part, just listed as Parts America. If you have an Advanced, Checker, Kragen, Schucks, or Murrays you see a different Screen. Hey I have a spare one in my Trunk!

I always insist on Genuine Hyundai Parts with a Mopar Warranty! :P

Wow! Thanks for the heads up. I will head out to get one tomorrow for my 06 Sonata.
Living in Florida we use the A/C almost every day and I don't think the cabin filter behind the glove box has been replaced in the two years we got it. Ugh!

DIY is not exactly a "text" thing... there is actually a channel on cable called the DIY network... (Do It Yourself)

I don't know why you're seeing that, but as of about 30 seconds ago it's still showing $11.96 for me. I just ordered one last week, but if it's gonna go up to $28.99, I might order a couple extras now to have for later.

Interesting.. I also get the message:
"None of the items in your cart are currently available in our stores or warehouses. Please contact Customer Service at (877) 808-0698 - alternate items may be available that will meet your needs. "
I have tried several close by zip codes too!

It shows $11.96 for me. I tired to order two at first but it would show unavailable. So I called two nearest AdvanceAuto and they each had 1. Had them do a store transfer so that 1 location has two. Then used the coupon code '5Off25' to get each at $9.75+tax.

Same here.. After work today I just stopped by the nearest Advance. They didn't have them in stock but checked local store inventory.
There was only 1 in stock in all the local stores within 25 miles. After a 20 minute drive I picked it up for $12.80
Now to install it into my wife's sonata when she gets off work tonight.

Need opinions guys!

Some pics of the filter I just took out that was in the Sonata. I haven't changed it since I bought the car (June 06, now has <16K miles).

Well, I don't want to sound like a clean freak and throw away a perfectly good filter that might have another year or so left. What do you guys think, should I change the filter?

Really, thankfully I read this thread. I had no idea the filter would look like this!!

Yes it was. I already changed it.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I pulled out the old filter. I really wasn't expecting the filter to look this bad. Again, I'm glad this topic came up, otherwise I probably would have waited even longer.

My God man. How is the Air in MN? I had mine changed last year

and it was nothing like yours. Of course I only had about 10K on the LX.

Would you be interested in selling the old one?

Well, I finally called the Advance Auto Parts help line and she told me the C35661 parts number is $28.99. There is possibly a Pulorlator part that is around $11.00, but that is another part number that she does not show avaialble.
Then I go back online and shop for Purolator and it comes up directly with C35661 as a Purolator part number. Don't know what gives, but I quit.
I'll just order from Hyundai. Called them and they have it for $16.95

Yes, MN air. I'm still surprised since I also have an 05EGT that has cabin filter and that one didn't look this bad. Considering my Sonata has only 15xxx miles, I thought I was safe.

Anyway, it's yours if you want it. It might have another year of usable life left :P

The promo is definitely regional. Go to advanceautoparts.com and look up the weekly ad. If the promo is valid in your area, the ad should have it on the first page, "25% off all filters".

My LX came from the end of the Earth, Miami Fl. When my filter

was changed at the Dealership it has that exact Leaf in your filter.

What type of Leaf is that?
