Hey all,
We just got my gf a 2005 Hyundai Accent with 31k miles on it last week. We were going up a big hill yesterday (the tranny is auto) and it downshifted to make the hill and ran at about 3.5k rpms. After cresting the hill and letting off the gas, the car stayed in the lower gear and took about 10 seconds to upshift. This has also happened a few times in normal driving traffic on flat areas....
Anyone know if this car has common problems with this? We are the 2nd owner...is the 100k power train warranty still good?

our car has shifting issues going up long hills , and it only shifts into the next gear a few seconds after the crest as well , i think these accents are like that , we have a 2004 accent with a 2005 tranny , our original accents transmission died at only 4k miles ( 4,000 miles ) . hyundai accents are great but a curse wrapped in one package .
