Hi what speaker size do I need to replace the muffled door speakers with something a bit cleaner sounding?

would 4 inch fit?

ey bud.
not too familiar on any differences between yours and a '99 excel/accent which im slowly modifying, but if the front door speaker mounts are the same then yes, they are 4". Another way to check is to remove your inner door cover and measure it.
If your wanting to put larger speakers in, most likley you will need external mounts because of a metal bracket behind the hole aswell as the obvious that it is too small.
