Here's a picture of 4.6 model in Korea. I believe a Hyundai employee drove this around since they are not selling this model there. http://www.bobaedream.co.kr/board/data/dat..._day=&Answer=25Check out the 8th picture. The parking brake is gone. It seems they'll use the auto parking brake.

QUOTE(montego @ Jun 15 2008, 12:23 PM) the parking brake is more than likely foot operated as on the XG. l hope that fire extinguisher is not standard equipment :whistling: This Genesis actually has an electronic parking brake similar to what VW/Audi, BMW, etc. use. The switch for this is located to the left of the steering wheel (it's the big button on the bottom right-hand side). If it was a foot-operated brake it would be visible above the dead pedal. Electronic parking brake: (IMG: http://file1.bobaedream.co.kr/multi_image/national/2008/06/14/31310/8.JPG) Different angle, but you can clearly see the foot-actuated parking brake next to the hood release in this Genesis: (IMG: http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/015_2009genesisv6.jpg) This post has been edited by jwaters943: Jun 16 2008, 09:31 AM

That is a definite possibility. Based on the pics though, it seems that the Canadian-market Genesis is getting more feature content (including the electronic parking brake). Just look at all the buttons on the dash (especially left of the steering wheel) compared to our Genesis U.S. Genesis website: http://www.hyundaigenesis.comCanada Genesis website: http://www.hyundaigenesis.caThis post has been edited by jwaters943: Jun 18 2008, 11:57 AM
