Out of no where (possibly...I was messing with the equalizer but c'mon, that's what it's there for,) the driver's side speakers in my '04 cease to work. Since the other side does, it sure seems like wiring to me but I don't know what to do about it. It's all stock at the moment. Any suggestions? It's irritating as ****.

if you are sure that the 'balance' control on the radio controls are set equal then the fault may well be done to the speaker or the wiring, you will need to remove the door trim to check the speaker and connections to it, is your car still under warranty?

It's under factory warranty for about another 20,000 but as I'm not the first owner, it's not bumper to bumper. I have an extended warranty but not through the dealer so, while it covers pretty much power-everything-else...it doesn't cover my stereo. And yea, the balance controls are equal. I don't have to take the deck out, do I? Eek.

actually, isn't it the other way around? if its got 20k left on the warranty, and you are not the first owner, it would be the 5yr/60k BtB warranty that it is still under, not the "powertrain" warranty... (aside from your "extended warranty")
