Hi Trevor

You should be getting way better mileage than that - in the range of 550k per tank depending on your driving conditions.

The 2001 GSi w/ 5-speed was rated at around 8.7 L/100k highway and 5.8 l/100k city.

First thing to check is your tire pressure. If that looks good go for a tune-up w/ NGK plugs (they seem to perform way better than Champions).

Same here - 400km max CITY driving. (auto transmission) Is this normal or should I bug the dealer?

Besides, all cars have bad fuel econo in winter. Keep the O/D off in town or below 70~75kmh, this is better for engine throttle response & fuel econo.

I drop to about 400(less mostly) in the winter, in the summer though - 500-600 easy
