2003 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5 with a service light and a PO183 checked and cleared at auto Zone. Trouble code came back 30 minutes later.

Called my local dealer and he has never heard of a fuel temp sensor on a Santa Fe and thinks that it might be one of the three sensors in the fuel tank.

Any new ideas?

Thank you for your time.

Your dealership must be smoking crack... Talking to a Service Advisor is NOT like talking to a technician. Most Service Advisors would not know what a fuel temp sensor is. That does not mean there isn't one. Dealing with even our own Service Advisors irritates the crap outta me. They are nothing but glorified salespeople. Anyway, here's the info, 2003 Santa Fe 3.5L V6:

Fuel temperature sensor
Part #31435-26310
Retail price $14.52, not including tax or associated labor.

It's located inside the fuel tank attached to the fuel pump assemby.

Hope this helps you. :-)

Thank you very much.

Can I access the sensor for replacement through the access door under the back seat?
