Recently, my 2004 Sonata has been hard to start after getting gas. I am not filling the tank when I go to the gas station. Put in about 6 gallons last time I went. I verify that the cap is being put on correctly. When I try to start, it runs very rough and then stalls. Eventually I get it started. It will start fine everytime after that until I go to the gas station again and put a few gallons in the tank.

Dear mgg,

Read the other posts on this issue. The 2004 Sonata evidently has a problem with rust in the purge valve that connects to the intake manifold. The valve get some rust particles in the assembly, and gets blocked open.
