Where could I purchase reliable HID lights. Ebay? or any other store. Any suggestions. I was thinking about 5000k - 6000k. Also any input on how difficult to install would be great. Thanks

Although I have to discourage eBay for HIDs, just for personal reasons, here's a link on the install process - it's very easy. Of course this is just an overview and may be slightly different depending on the kit you get.

HID Conversion

Quite a few people on here have done it and don't regret it one bit. Do a search for HID and you should get lots of results.

Thanks for the instructions Madderhatter. What could you tell me about bi-xenon bulbs, does that mean hi and low beam? I see you got a HID kit, where do you get yours?

Thanks
David

bi-xenon hid kits are to replace h4, 9007, 9003, and other dual filament bulbs (single bulbs that have 2 filaments one for hi and lo beams), Not the sonata.
the sonata has one pair of h7 bulbs for low beams, h1 for high beams, and 881 for fogs.

While I don't "endorse" them or anything, XenonEyes sells the same kit as the one I'm running.

I got my set off ebay for $70 and havent had a problem with them(yet)..but i think the more expensive they are isnt so much the quality but the size of the ballasts that come with them. My ballasts are prolly like 6"x4" and like 2" thick..so i might be wrong but it was only $70 and looks awesome.

take a look at these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/06-07-08-HY...sspagenameZWDVW

these will you give you the Angel Eyes and you can also do the HID thing to go along with it.. the whole thing will run you around $450 to $500, but will look pretty cool

edit - just noticed you have the 2009.. not sure if these Angel Eye housings will fit

I have actually gotten my kits from XenonEyes.com and my kit has working great. They have good customer service over there also which most internet HID companies don't have.

I think I still have the number in my cell phone... its 972-535-6059

It's definitely a bonus that they are an actual business and are in Texas in case of any problems. Eliminates all the confusion and overseas lag with shipping and whatnot.

This is very appealing because it's about $200 cheaper but has anyone purchased from this place or knows that it's legit? As dogstar once said to me "if it's considerably cheaper... you have to ask why".

Oh man, I'm getting quotable.... that's the first step to fame you know... better watch my ego doesn't get inflated. :)

I know there are some people who have had great results with the very low priced HID kits... myself and the others who got them on the group buy didn't exactly overpay though, still coming in well under $200 after shipping.

There are bargains out there, but sometimes it pays to pay a bit more for a known product.
Beamers for example, seem to be quite good and most of the dealers seem to offer/stand by a return policy.
