First thing is First
You want to find an Amplifier to suit The power rating of the speakers you are driving, Close as possible to avoid over driving the speaker!, creating wear and tear, distorted sound (.. shitty noise! )
You also want the correct wiring size and fuses etc to compliment the amplifiers.
If you are also driving a High Powered sub, You may want to look into a Power Capiciter probably around 1 FARAD for each sub. No point having the bass if your lights wont stay on!
For the 'normal listening' speakers, You want an amplifier with a very low Total Harmonic Distortion rate,, particiculary under 0.05% for the clearest sound! Keep that amp on High Pass to make the job eassier for the speakers.
For the Subwoofer, It is ussualy best to find a Amp that has a rms power output under that of the sub, to make it last for the longest amount of time!. THD of subwoofer amps isnt very crucial so they can be around 0.1%.
Researching Box types will defianetely Help.. If you want More sound pressure level and less clarity, Use a ported box so you can hear both ways of the cone movement (keep in mind it is easier to overdrive a speaker this way) If you prefer More clarity and more punch, Use a sealed box to suit the recomended cubic litres of the sub, alot safer with the speaker but less louder...
Hope This Advice Helped,
If it were me, I would use Blaupunkt and Earthqauke gear!
