There is something smelling mildewy and I think it has to do with the cabin air filter. Thw window was left open and it rained hard. The interior was soaked and when dried up...it started to smell like mildew. Where is it in the 02 SF?

Drop the glove box and there should be an access door of some kind that you pop open and the filter slides out. I don't have my parts diagram in front of me.

However, I don't think the mildew smell has anything to do with the cabin air filter. If your carpet and seat got soaked from the windows being left down in the rain, it's probably the carpet that smells like mildew.

:00000732: glalas,

Concur. Your problem is likely the jute pad for the carpet is wet and has mold growing in it.

The correct way to fix this is to pull your entire interior carpet and pad out, lay on a clean driveway in the sun half a day, flip over and dry the other side for half a day. Reinstall.

IF and only if the moist area is small (less than 3 sq ft), you could try raising the carpet and mat in that area, placing dry bath towels above and below the pad, change to fresh towels every couple of hours, finish with a blow dryer.

Use Lysol spray disinfectant to kill the mold smell after the pad and carpet are dry.
