No adjustment, but the gas charged lift cylinders are probably getting weak causing it not to open as it should. The lift gate is very heavy, don't let the lift cylinders go out and crack your skull... lol.

:00000732: furshore,
Your 2007 Santa Fe should not be developing worn out lift cylinders yet. After the gate opens and the cylinders extend normally, can you move the lift gate higher? A little or a lot?
If your gas lift cylinders are going out, warranty item.

ok...update. I went to the dealer and they said that they would order two new units. I was covered under my warranty and they also said that they have seen several of these with this problem and it get worse.
