First, at times the country roads around here can be pretty clear of traffic. Second, pick the right roads & there are fewer traffic lites to contend with. Third, the lack of traffic, & stoplites, often coincide with the real treasured beauty spots in the Northwest here. Its increasingly hard, but sometimes.....

My last three cars (& Janie's Accent) & my splendid 450 Suzuki motorcycle have responded superbly to my careful attentions. I don't think I'm doing anything much different from others, but I have good MPG luck with cars so far.

Oh, yeah. I have a pretty good understanding of hills & how NOT to lose too many MPG on hills.

How's everybody doing now that oil had settled down? I just topped off from 1/2 tank and paid $3.56. I figured why not, with Gustav on its way to the gulf and oil prices are rising it's going to get more expensive in a hurry. We don't even know what's going to happen yet, however they still have to raise the prices! Steenkin' speculators...

The majority of stations in my town had already jacked their prices up to $3.79, I lucked out and found one that hasn't had the chance to increase their prices yet.

gas here WAS at 1.31 for a long time since gas started going down. it really too bad gas companies dont follow the same guidlines as they do when the price of oil drops. by my caluculations, gas should have been 1.15 but instead they make us pay another 15 cents cuse they are greedy a s s wipes. i only wish i could shoot one of them in both knee caps.

NOW because of the FUckin long weekend (even though oil went DOWN today) the gas stations jumped the price up to 1.38. wtf!!!!!!! 7 cents in one day and oil went down? ok now i want to shoot two oil executives in the knee caps. and watch them fight over the only barrel of oil with a syringe of morphine in it. call me cruel but what they do every day is nothing compaired to my imagination of torture
