QUOTE(rondy_ @ Jun 5 2008, 09:45 PM) Great!. window tint is perfect for hot cities and for blocking UV rays and the sun's glare. what percentages did you get? Texas allows 35% on the sides and as dark as you want on the back. I went 35% on the sides and 45% on the rear. I don't really like limo tint at night. Rob

QUOTE(Tango2Go @ Jun 6 2008, 01:54 AM) One mod you won't regret .I love my 35%,really helps out in the sun. However the percentage number fefers to how much light it lets pass through so in reality 35% light transmission would be darker than 45%.But with the angle of the rear window you will probably never notice it. My understanding was my side windows block 35% of the light and my rear window blocks 45% of the light. That is how it was explained to me. I know the back is darker than the sides. This post has been edited by robcope: Jun 6 2008, 05:05 AM

I know the back is darker than the sides. then it is 65% on the front and 55% on the rear, lol. It is pretty light but it helps to reject heat and glare. BTW the numbers 35% and 45% are more common in tint that 65% or 55%. Maybe you did really get the 35% and 45%, but form the outside you wont notice because there is so much light coming from the windshield that the rear windows may look darker. % visible light transmittance. for example, 5% is very dark. blocks 95% of light.

QUOTE(DigitalAccent79 @ Jun 29 2008, 04:56 AM) I've never had a car's windows tinted before, but it looks friekn' awesome and I'm sure it helps with the sun's rays. How much is it usually for like the rear window and rear seat windows on an accent SE? What's the best percentage rate as well? Thanx :) 35% is great and legal in nearly all states .So if you travel you wont have problems being stopped. You can still see out of it at night, too. Mine cost$110 for all windows (3dr) and $10 for the windshield strip ,for lifetime warranty tint.If it peels ,fades ,discolors ,etc.=no charge for anything.
