About 6 months ago, my terracan 2.9 crdi went low on diesel and went into limp home mode a few days later after filling it up. i took it to the dealer who usin his computer told me the fuel pump ,injector no. 1 and the air flow mass meter showed faults.they did not fix it but just put it back to its normal mode and remained running perfect for about a month until it just went into the limp mode again. this time though they replaced the air flow meter but again roughly a month later it went into limp home mode . This has happened two more times since and all the dealers and i have done is just put it back into it normal mode. i have been told that it might be a problem with the fuel supply so am thinking of adding a new fuel pump. I am wondering does any one have similar problems or any advice??? please write if you have any suggestions!!!!

Hi, it sounds to me like you might have sucked up some crap from the tank when you ran low on diesel. If this did happen the crap has gone through the pump and injectors. The dealer should have suspected this, but as it would mean replacing the fuel system they might be reluctant to mention this. There is a terracan forum in australia which is well worth a look at (australia4wd.com). They seem to have everything related to terracans on there and i am sure i read about dodgy fuel/ running low and its effects/remedies.

First -I suggest that you remove the fuel filter and see if there are any metal fragments in it
Second -I need the fault code numbers to help me with diagnosis
