The throwout bearing in my 01 accent has always had a whine to it, but a week ago it started making grinding sounds whenever the clutch would be engaged. I ordered a new clutch kit and flywheel and waiting on it. I have a few ?'s to those who have done this before. I figured that since my car has almost 130K miles on it, I should replace the clutch since I'm down there.
I will be having someone who knows what they are doing helping me to learn how to do this.
I looked up some info on the hma service site. Do I have to drain the gear oil before I do this?
What important things should I look for when I tear into this?
I'm sure there are other ?'s that will come up, but this is a good start.
