I bought my car before they had a chance to install the extras they charge way to much for. I am wondering if the RPM is worth it? and how much it costs?

It shuts down any drain on the battery if the battery is to low. It ensures the car will start.

I thought that was a standard feature. In the manual it says if the courtesy lights are left on, the car will turn them off before the battery gets too low so that there is enough reserve to start the car up.

Rob, it sounds like a useful gadget but I'm sure you'll be OK without it. Just make sure your doors are all shut... And if you leave the headlight switch in the on position you'll want to make sure you open the driver's door after removing the key from the ignition so the lights go out. :)

Piece of crap!

5 out of 10 times they work.

Not worth the dealer price...trust me.

I end up jumping a lot of cars on the lot with them.

I guess thats why they stopped installing them.

I would rather stick with a $10 set of jumper cables.

Isn't there a product available at auto parts stores called "Battery Buddy" or something along those lines that does the same thing?

Edited to add.....The product is now called "Battery Brain" and costs $49.95 at http://www.batterybuddy.com/index.html
