Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to give a quick hello to all. I've recently purchased a used 2007 Sonata SE. I was in the process of buying either a Honda Accord (which my son totalled) or a Camry, which I had before buying the Accord.

Hyundai is new to me but after test driving all three back to back, I chose it.

I've always purchased my cars used and this time, I bought from Enterprise Car Sales. I know some may be leary about buying one from a rental agency but after talking to a lot of car dealers and people who work at car auctions, I found out that a lot of them also purchase from rental agencies.

I have to say that thus far I'm truly impressed by hyundai. With 30k miles, I got it out the door for $15,200. The best I could do for an accord was $16k for a 2005 or $17k for a 2007 camry. For the features I got on the Sonata vs. the other two, I had to give it a try.

I have yet to put on any substantial miles on it but I love the way it drives so far. The V6 is so nice and smooth and a nice change from always driving 4 cylinder cars. I'm on my second tank of gas and so far averaging 26mpg for mixed driving.

Again, hello to all. I look forward to learing more about my new car on these forums.

:00000732: !!!!!!!

My roommate is very impressed with Hyundai also, based on my experience with my car. He was a Honda guy, but now he's looking for a used V6 Sonata as well. And more coincedentally, there was a 06 Deepwater Blue GLS V6 at the Carmax in Fresno that he had his eyes on! Passed on it though.

Does the 100K warranty apply to the original buyer only?

Yup - unless it's a Certified Pre-Owned car. CPO cars come from Hyundai dealers and cost a little more than a typical used Hyundai, but have warranty coverage identical to a new Hyundai.

As for buying a used (not CPO) Hyundai, you still have the full 5 year/60k mile bumper to bumper warranty, 5 year/60k mile powertrain warranty, and 5 year/unlimited mile roadside assistance.

The V6 is nice and smooth. I've always had 4 cyl cars myself and love the extra power. Welcome to the forums.

:00000732: to the forum

My 99 ford taurus was a budget rental I purchased in feb 2000 with 27,500 miles.

It now has 135,000 but still runs great.

I tend to drive the Sonata more these days!

Look forward to your posts.....
