Too much to give all the detail... but here we go!
I am replacing my rear brake pads on my 06 GLS. When i put the new pads on i push them on until the brake pad touches the rotor. is this right? the reason i ask is when i put it all back together i drive the car and i have an awful scraping sound coming from the rears. even before i drove i spun the wheel when it was jacked and it was making the noise. then on the test drive, it hardly stopped the car.
i guess my main question is: How far do i push in the new brake pads? all the way until they sit on the rotor?
