The problem I am having is when ever I try to downshift into second gear while going over 27mph+ the gear will intermittently grind, but it will still go in easily. This is with the clutch to the floor. The same thing happens when I try to double clutch in to second. When shifting from 1st to second gear the transmission works just fine every time. This just started about a month ago, and up until that time I had never grinded a gear in this car once. Normally this grind will only happen once every few days, but going around corners while braking and downshifting into second will cause it to grind every time regardless of speed. 1 3 4 5 and reverse all work properly. I just had the clutch, timing belt, transmission and clutch fluid replaced in March of this year. 86,000 miles are on the car now and about %70 of it is hwy miles.
Any ideas as to the problem or cost to fix?

The transmission fluid is the answer. If you have this problem, a common one you just need to upgrade to a more expensive transmission fluid. I'm using Mobil 1. The day I got the new fluid my second gear worked properly.

01-06 Elantra manual transmission use 75w90 oil

By "answer" I meant to keep my second gear from going out for the next 10 to 20,000 miles. The synchronizers in the manual transmission are known for going out due to a lack of lube. The more expensive transmission fluids have a better viscosity so they will reduce or eliminate the damage.
