thanks for the responce! much appreciated! i guess what i was wondering (and couldnt get it to type right) was, should i use the "established" water from my 1.5 and add it to the new water in the hex to help start the bio process?
ok, just re-read your response (adding the water to the 66g isn't going to help with the biologicals. You'll need to add filter media from a tank that has been running for a while.)
with that in mind, should i take the tiny filter from the 1.5 and stick it in with the bigger filter for a week or so to get bio's going (growing)?
or should i fill it, let it set, and dump the fish in and hope for the best? lol
i have some Aqua Safe treatment, think directions say 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons or sumpthing like that... sorry to be such a PITA

no pain at all, the little filter isn't going ot help much with the bios. Feel free to add it though, even the tiniest amount of help is good with a new tank. I usually just dump the fish in and hope for the best. especially only adding three fish to that large of a tank. You won't have any problems as long as your temp and parameters are set. The aquasafe is good to add, I use Prime water conditioners. Just follow the directions on the bottle and you should be good. Post some pics once you get it set up. Good Luck.
