Now I don't know about the folks who run AVPROECM www.avproecm.com , but before I ship my ECM for rebuilding along with $160 to a PO Box of a company I find on the internet, I need to have some comfort level as to the legitamacy of that company. In turn, that company should be more than willing to provide that level of comfort to it's prospective customers.

After not being able to find additional info about AVPROECM I decided to have a
friend who is currently visiting the Fort Myers Beach area find out what he could
before sending the ECM. After making the initial call to AVPROECM and was given
shipping instructions, I called back for the actual business location. The Rep.
insisted on providing only the PO box address. Even after explaining that this
was not for shipping purposes he refused to provide the information I was
requesting.

I explained to him that all the info I had on the company was the PO box and phone
number and wished to find out more about the company. I then proceeded to ask if
I could atleast find infomation at BBB or some other consumer/buisness relations
organization. The rep became very defensive stating that BBB no longer existed
(what are they smoking at AVPPROECM) and suggested I simply 'google' the website
where I am sure to find numerous testimonials. He then proceeded to hang the
phone up on me.

Well, needless to say, they will no longer get my buisness. I did 'google' the
site and found NO testimonials on the internet. I did spot the occasional messages
during online forum discussions on ECUs providing a link to the website, but no
follow-ups from anyone who has ever been directed to and utilized their services.

In short, AVPROECM may want to rethink their whole CUSTOMER RELATIONS strategy.

Oh, by the way, if you want to see how an ECM repair business should really be
run, go to http://www.ecmtogo.com/. Yes, they are the ones getting my business.
And as stated on their site, they are also "Proud Members of the Better Business
Bureau & Automotive Parts Rebuilders Association".

I will certainly report back on ECMTOGO.
