I had to replace my right front tire because it was makeing so much noise. I thought I had a wheel bearing going on my right rear so I moved the tire to the front and the sound went with it. The tire is cupped bad (pre-wreck tire) :grin: Had the car aligned and it was out there for sure. Other three tires are fine........Anyway...... The OEM tires are on sale. I will not put them back on myself once these are gone.
Although the four new ones are working very well on the Toyota. :thumbsup:

Brazzel;

Do you think the tire was damaged in the wreck you had? How many miles were on the tire?

I wonder if there is an alternate Michelin tire that fits our cars that has a less noisy tread pattern. Any ideas?

No I do not think it was damaged but it was replaced...all of them were but I put them on my Toyota and kept the OEM tires on the Azera. The alignment was out but read the reviews on these tires on the tire rack.. not good. I think I'm going Yokohama. They have a little over 17,000 miles on them.
There is another tire listed as OEM on the link above.... And yes, you can get Pilots and Hydro-edge.

I have the same problem with one tire cupped on the right side. I had a 4 wheel alignment(it was out). I have 20K miles with of course alot of mileage left. I am considering changing the one cupped tire to reduce the noise. What are the toughts?

On cupped tires, I found the following:

Cups or scalloped dips appearing around the edge of the tread on one side or the other, almost always indicate worn (sometimes bent) suspension parts. Adjustment of wheel alignment alone will seldom cure the problem. Any worn component that connects the wheel to the car (ball joint, wheel bearing, shock absorber, springs, bushings, etc.) can cause this condition. Worn components should be replaced with new ones. The worn tire should be balanced and possibly moved to a different location on the car. Occasionally, wheels that are out of balance will wear like this, but wheel imbalance usually shows up as bald spots between the outside edges and center of the tread.

This was at website: http://www.procarcare.com/ after a search on Google.

Since they indicate worn parts, I wonder if perhaps it is a case of tire wear because of the poor shock/strut valving on some of the Azeras mentioned in the "Azera Suspension Noise" thread (AKA The Dreaded Clunk).
