In over a year and 21,000 miles first defect. The windshield washer stopped spraying. The motor still works and there is plenty of fluid just nothing or very little comming out, almost like the pump lost its prime. Its going back to the dealer nxt Saturday. Anyone else have this problem?

Could there be something blocking it? Check the rear washer - they draw from the same tank.

provided the jets are not blocked there is a small gause filter in the outlet of the pump that gets blocked up, failing that you will need a new pump

I bought mine new off the lot and the rear windshield washer fluid would take forever to spray. Then i noticed i was going through fluid like crazy. Turned out I had a leak in the line running to the back of the car. Worst part was the line runs through the interior of the car, so I ended up with a huge blue stain in my back seat. Luckily the dealer was able to get the stain out.

I too experienced a problem a similar problem the day I drove the car off the lot and took it home. I could hear the pump working, checked the fluid level (full), checked and cleaned the sprayers...all to no avail, UNTIL...the winshield washer fluid hose, located at the base of the passenger-side windshield, was disconnected!

The whole time I ran the washer, the fluid was being sprayed under the hood, effectively soaking the foam/rubber near the windshield drain on the passenger side, until it came off.

In the end, it was no big deal. Just connected the hose back up and things worked fine.

probably should've check there first, since during the sprayer nozzle cleaning, I manage to misalign the middle sprayer, so now my sunroof and the cars driving behind me get a nice spray of wiper fluid ;)

good luck
