Hi Everyone!

I am now the PROUD owner of a brand new 2009 Dark Cherry Sonata GLS x 24 hours. I am very impressed with this car and love it!

While going over the car when I got home, trying to learn the ins and outs of it, I came across something I didn't notice at the dealer. Behind the rear doors, passenger and driver side, are what can be best described as stickers. They are painted the same dark cherry color as the car. There are two on each side in the same locations. What are these "stickers"?

I want to add that this forum is FULL of valuable info and hope that once I start to learn the car more, I will be able to add to the discussion! Thanks in advance for any help.

Keep those badboys on there. They're paint protectors! Oh yea, and DON'T use nail polish remover to take any tar that gets on them, off. It turns them cloudy. D'oh! I have proof. :(

Tommer, you're awesome! I thought that might be what they are, but was unsure. Thanks again!

Possibly taking those things off. I'm sorry what are Paint Protectors again?

I had my LX wrapped in Plastic. Should have left it on. :innocent:

Most new cars come with them in some location(s). Think of them as invisible bras, like a heavy duty polyurethane tape that's been put in strategic locations to protect against road debris hitting against the paint.
