2007 Slate Blue AWD Limited - purchased October 2007. 10,000 miles so far and zero unscheduled maintenance stops.

Average between 22-23 mpg with equal parts city and highway driving.

Purchased: October 2006

Mileage: 38K (miles)
Total running costs without fuel: £740 ( = £580 servicing £160 tyres)

Unsceduled stops:
1 x Electrical fault with left sidelight (still unresolved)
1 x Electrical short on front seat motor (unresolved by Hyundai)
1 x Rattle under dash when car in idle (still unresolved - Notice a pattern here!)

MPG:
Urban: 36 mpg
Motorway:54 mpg
Combined: 38mpg

Would I recommend to new buyers: Highly, with the caveat that they get one from a local trusted dealer (few and far between)

Would I buy another one: Without a second thought.

Main gripe with car: Length of seat cushion on drivers side, needs more support under your knees!!.

QUOTE(NDURO @ May 30 2008, 03:54 AM)
Bought my 2.2 CRDI in October 2007 so far we have done 13,000km
We get 8.8 L/100k on the highway and 11 to 12 in the city (hilly stop start driving)
Have had a few fantastic trips away in the santa fe. Very happy with it.

Bought my wife's sante fe in july 2001. They had only been out about 2 weeks. I currently have about 113,000 miles on it so far. I guess it's been a good ride but it is starting to give me problems now.

2008 Santa Fe Limited, purchased last Friday, and 5 days later it has 980 miles on it (mostly highway with an avg. of 25.3 mpg!). If I keep going at this rate, the Santa-sled would roll 71,540 miles in the first year of ownership! :trophy:

However, I have a life outside the car, so I think real miles driven will be closer to 1/10th of this average. (But I hope to keep the mpg up in the 20's!)

Got our 2008 AWD 3.3 six months ago, and have accumulated 12,000km thanks to a 6,000km road trip in the U.S.

9-10 litres/100km on the highway (12.5 while towing)

14-15 litres/100km city
