I was curious to see how much driving you are all doing on your 2007 Santa Fe. I figured I'd be driving a lot, but with my new job and all I'm actually driving a lot less in general.

So let's see who drives the daylights out of their car and who barely touches them. Post the date you bought your Santa Fe and the current mileage.

Purchase Date: Dec. 2006
Current Mileage: 13,800 miles

July 2007 19,000km / 12,000 miles

added 2,000 km last summer on vacation
added 4,000 km going to Florida over the holidays

Still looks, sounds, feels, smells and drives new...

Average mileage 21 MPG - mostly short cold engine urban commuting but stretched by long trips

Worst tanks were around 14 MPG testing the AWD and ESC - it passed!

Best tanks around 28 MPG mostly highway driving at 60 or less

Picked up mine on August 31/07.

6700 km (4200 miles)

Stored in my garage all winter, still like new. My girlfriend calls it my 'indoor car'.

I'm off to Vancouver Island tomorrow morning , should add another 3000 km next week, can't wait!

October 14, 2007 and a mind shattering 5450 Miles.... Just burning the tires off.

Guess that is the fun of a 5 mile R/T to work daily. It may be a short trip, but I love doing it in my Pearl !

(Scary part...I've also done 2 - 350 mile R/t road trips in the Fe too)

Purchased July 2007 and I have about 8300 miles so far.

If your taking trips where you don't need to stop and go, highway, then use the cruise control. Taking trips to my girlfriends residence I manage to get 28mpg usually. Today I did it without A/C half of the trip and got up to 30mpg. Thats great for a truck of this size. Doing under 60 most of the way, I even learned to use it on the streets. You need to time it so you can switch it off and coast to stop lights, then turn it back on. I wouldn't recommend this if you have alot of traffic though.

Bought my 2.2 CRDI in October 2007 so far we have done 13,000km
We get 8.8 L/100k on the highway and 11 to 12 in the city (hilly stop start driving)
Have had a few fantastic trips away in the santa fe. Very happy with it.

Cheers
Scott
