I am a first time Hyundai owner (08 Elantra GLS). Is there a way to make the cig lighter or power outlet stay powered when the ignition is off? I like to let my cell phone charge overnight and every other car I have owned keeps the cig lighter powered with the ignition off.

Hello!

Cell phones can charge up in around 2-3 hrs so I suggest that u leave it charging through the day or while driving. You need to be careful because car's battery can be discarged by next morning esp. if it is older, with less Ah value or in cold weather. Anyway just leave it charging for few hours through the day.

cheers!

Thanks for the advice Marek46, although I hope you aren't implying that Hyundai's have inferior batteries. :) Now, does anyone know an answer to the question?
